Job Description:
As a Network & Security Engineer at Excent, you will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity, availability and confidentiality of our network and data. You will work closely with our IT and security teams to design and implement robust network architectures and security measures.
Responsibilities:
- Network Design: Design and implement network architectures, including LAN, WAN and data center networks.
- Firewall Configuration: Configure and manage firewalls, intrusion detection systems and other security appliances.
- Security Policies: Develop and enforce network security policies, procedures and best practices.
- Incident Response: Respond to and mitigate security incidents and breaches.
- Network Monitoring: Implement and manage network monitoring and logging solutions to detect and respond to threats.
- VPN Configuration: Configure and maintain VPNs to provide secure remote access.
- Patch Management: Ensure timely patching and updates for network and security devices.
- Security Audits: Conduct security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and remediate weaknesses.
- Documentation: Create and maintain network and security documentation, including diagrams and procedures.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security measures and resolve network issues.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Network & Security Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
- Strong expertise in network design, routing, switching and security protocols.
- Proficiency in firewall management and intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS).
- Knowledge of VPN technologies and encryption protocols.
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools and SIEM solutions.
- Security certifications such as CISSP, CCNA Security or CompTIA Security+ are preferred.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and security-conscious environment.
