Small Claims Procedure
Small claims cases are handled by the conciliation boards (forliksråd) located throughout the country. These boards provide a low-cost and efficient way to settle disputes, and their decisions are legally binding. The maximum amount that can be claimed in a small claims case is NOK 125,000.
