Small Claims Procedure

Small claims in Germany are handled by the “Amtsgericht” or the “Landgericht” depending on the amount claimed. The maximum amount that can be claimed in the “Amtsgericht” court is €5,000, while the maximum amount that can be claimed in the “Landgericht” court is €50,000.
